February 26, 2004thor's dayI still can't think of a name for the brew day that will go down this Saturday. Brewhaha? Crew brew? The Great Beer Make? Regardless, I think the slogan should be We Put The Me In 'Get Me A Beer'. Last night I began preparations. We've been able to procure 3 turkey fryers, so we're going to make three 5-gallon batches. An IPA (duh), a Red Ale, and a Stout. Last night I sanitized three 6.5 gallon carboys so they'll be ready. I also boiled about 10 gallons of water so that we don't have to boil and cool water in addition to boiling and cooling wort on Saturday. I'm going to try to get yeast starters going tonight so that the yeast is kicking maximum ass on Saturday. Today at lunch, paul2k and I ate BBQ and bought the beer ingredients. The dude at the homebrew shop kept saying, "I hope you have some help for this." I was like, "Sheeee-it. I always brew three batches at a time by myself. Brewing one batch isn't even brewing. Unless you use a flame thrower. Which I do." I would like to announce the latest addition to the world of blogging. None other than my former manager at the Pizza House of Pizza, Mike Laschiver. Check it out. Posted by tony at February 26, 2004 11:18 AMComments
Call the day "You Got Another Brew Coming" but when you say it, sing it, like the song "You Got Another Thing Coming". Then do the "Duh...duh duh...duh duh" and then "You got another BREW coming" and repete. Posted by: chaz at February 26, 2004 05:31 PMdon't.
